NYCxDESIGN: Dalia Forman and the Argentine Consulate in NY Presents: "Visions of Time: Argentine Expressions in Art and Design"

Dalia Forman, in collaboration with the Argentine Consulate in New York and Argentine Creative Experience, is proud to present Visions of Time: Argentine Expressions in Art and Design—a celebration of artisans, craftspeople and designers during NYCxDesign Week.

With pride and passion, the Consulate stands with champions of the arts, a custodian of the rich heritage and diverse expressions of South American culture. Through the partnership with Dalia Forman Design LLC, the Consulate opens its doors wide, extending a warm invitation to the talents of Argentina and beyond. It's a platform where dreams take flight, where colors dance, and where stories are woven into the fabric of existence.

Join us for the exhibition reception at the Consulate General of Argentina in New York at 12 West 56 Street on Tuesday, May 21st at 6 PM and experience the culture and arts of Argentina during NYCxDesign Festival 2024!

This event is open to the public with RSVP.

If you cannot make the reception, The exhibition is on view from May 16th, 17th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd from 10 AM - 1 PM and 2 - 5 PM.

Among the featured artists are Mantara, whose breathtaking rugs capture the essence of Argentinean landscapes with vivid strokes of color, and Matriz Design, whose intricate furniture designs pay homage to centuries-old traditions while embracing contemporary aesthetics. Alongside Cecilia Nigro, who’s hand-sculpted ceramics take hues from nature itself. Followed by MERCEDES COSTAL Prints and Patterns, where every wall is a canvas, and every pattern is a masterpiece waiting to be discovered. Lastly, Luciana Lubreto, whose skillfully crafted paper botanical art merges the beauty in both nature and man alike.

Entre los artistas destacados se encuentran Mantara, cuyas impresionantes alfombras capturan la esencia de los paisajes argentinos con vívidos toques de color, y Matriz Design, cuyos sofisticados diseños en muebles rinden homenaje a tradiciones centenarias al tiempo que abraza la estética contemporánea. También estará presente Cecilia Nigro, con sus cerámicas esculpidas a mano adquiriendo matices de la naturaleza misma. Mercedes Costal Prints and Patterns mostrará cómo cada  pared es un lienzo único y cada patrón es una obra maestra esperando ser descubierta.  Y cerrando este grupo se sumará Luciana Lubreto, cuyo arte botánico en papel hábilmente elaborado fusiona la belleza tanto de la naturaleza como del hombre.
